Plans start with 10 cloud meeting hours. On-device dictation does not use those hours.

Notes stay local. Meetings go to the cloud once.
Everyday dictation is free and processed on your iPhone. A meeting is uploaded once, only after you finish and every participant has agreed.
Meetings
Get back a transcript that shows who said what. Anonymous speaker labels are computed on your iPhone, and you can rename them.
Start from anywhere
Begin from Control Centre, Siri, or the app. Recording is always visible, with a Live Activity while the microphone is on.
Everyday dictation
Processed only on this iPhone
Eligible solo dictation uses Apple’s on-device speech technology. Audio and nearby text do not go to Dictaphone’s servers.
Meeting recording
Pinned to Groq cloud transcription
Meetings do not use Apple’s local transcriber. After you confirm participant consent and finish recording, encrypted audio is sent through Dictaphone to Groq. Temporary audio is deleted after processing.

No ambiguous meeting button.
The app states which provider will process the meeting and requires you to acknowledge that every participant agreed before recording can start.
